New Delhi, June 8 (IANS) Delhiites woke up to rains and a pleasant morning Tuesday with the weather office predicting more showers during the day.

‘More rainfall is expected through the day, but it will be over by the evening. The skies are likely to be clear by the evening,’ an official of the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) told IANS.

The official said rain of 0.6 mm had been recorded.

According to the met department, the rainfall is an effect of Cyclone Phet that developed in the Arabian Sea last week.

The minimum temperature was recorded at 22.1 degrees Celsius while the maximum temperature is expected to be around 33 degrees Celsius.
