New Delhi, Sep 27 (IANS) Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit Monday hit back Commonwealth Games Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mike Hooper for his reported comments on Delhi’s population, terming it as ‘unkind and undiplomatic’.

‘It’s a very unkind and undiplomatic remark,’ Dikshit told reporters when asked to comment on Hooper’s remark of Delhi’s ‘population hazard’.

The CGF official while taking part in a closed-door meeting on the Commonwealth Games had asked for a 24-hour dedicated Games lane. But the suggestion was turned down by the officials.

At a function at her residence, Dikshit, who is now reviewing preparations at the Games Village in east Delhi, said: ‘We are working very hard and the work will be completed very soon.’

‘We took over the Games Village in a very difficult situation,’ she said in reply to a specific question.

On July 30, too, Dikshit was annoyed at Hooper’s negative comment on the Games. ‘Who is Mark Hooper?’ she retorted to a question then.
