New Delhi, Jan 29 (Inditop.com) Delhiites saw bright sunshine early Friday with hardly any fog though the weatherman said the city could be a little cloudy later in the day.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the visibility at 7.30 a.m. was a good 500 metres.

“There was a shallow fog till around 7 a.m. after which it cleared and the visibility improved to 500 metres,” an IMD official said.

“Later in the day, however, there will be partly cloudy skies with a possibility of thundershowers in some areas,” the official added.

The mercury rose three degrees above the average at 11.1 degrees Celsius in the morning. The maximum is expected to hover around 25 degrees.

With a runway visibility range of 2,000 metres, there were no disruptions because of the weather at the Indira Gandhi International airport here, an airport official said.
