Nashik (Maharashtra), Jan 4 (IANS) A massive fire Friday gutted the factory and warehouse of Shalimar Paints 20 km from the city, police said. No casualties were reported.
“The fire started at around 3 p.m. and is yet to be contained. At least 30 fire engines and tankers are trying to douse the flames,” an official from Wadivarhe Police Station told IANS.
The fire started from the open warehouse where raw materials and chemicals of paints were kept, the official said. “We are yet to ascertain what triggered the fire,” he said.
About 50 people were working in the premises when the fire started.
