New Delhi, Aug 9 (IANS) Experts from various institutions, including the premier Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), will participate in a day-long conference Tuesday on ‘Remote Sensing and GIS for Environmental Management’ organised by the Jamia Millia Islamia University.
The conference will cover new horizons in the areas of spatial technology for hydrology, water and air pollution, land degradation, land use planning and natural hazards, an official statement said.
Organised by the varsity’s Department of Civil Engineering, it will be useful for engineers, planners, architects, scientists, decision makers and researchers working in this field.
‘The main objective of the conference is to bring together scholars and professionals to share latest achievements and experiences in Remote Sensing and GIS research and application,’ it said.
