New Delhi, Feb 3 (IANS) A man, allegedly depressed over losing his job and his wife walking out on him, committed suicide in east Delhi Thursday, police said.
Hemant, 23, was found hanging inside his room on the first floor of the house by his landlord who informed police.
Although no suicide note was recovered, police was told by the neighbours and Hemant’s family that he lost his job in a private company three months ago and was probably depressed over it.
‘Hemant worked in a private firm in Noida but lost his job three months ago. He had married a girl against his family’s wishes about eight months ago and she too had gone to her parent’s house owing to his failure to provide for her. It seems he committed suicide due to these reasons,’ said a police official, adding that further investigations were on.
