New Delhi, Sep 30 (IANS) The Congress party Friday hit back at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), saying the opposition party should set its house in order first before pointing fingers at others.

‘We won’t listen to whatever BJP says. It is cheap diversionary tactics of a politically bankrupt party and they should put their house in order. They should first sort out the issue of the party’s prime ministerial candidate and then comment on our ministers,’ said Congress spokesperson Renuka Chowdhury.

On the issue of controversy between Home Minister P. Chidambaram and Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee, she said the ministers have already addressed the matter and the chapter is closed now.

The BJP earlier during the day targeted the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government, saying it was using a different yardstick for Chidambaram despite voluminous evidence about his alleged involvement in the 2G spectrum allocation issue.
