New Delhi, Nov 11 (Inditop.com) Visibility dropped to 500 metres Wednesday morning as a mist hovered over the national capital. Flights, however, were not affected.
The visibility at 5.30 a.m. was 500 metres but improved to 1,000 metres around 9.30 a.m., an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official said.
“All flights are running on time at the Indira Gandhi International airport,” an airport official said.
The IMD attributed the mist to approaching western disturbances.
“There is a possibility of rain or thundershowers in the middle of the week due to approaching western disturbances,” the official said.
The maximum temperature Wednesday settled at 28.8 degree Celsius, a notch below average, while the minimum was recorded at 14.2 degree Celsius. The met office has forecast a partly cloudy sky throughout the day.
