New Delhi, July 30 (IANS) The monsoon will be normal this year and will pick up in August and September, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said Friday.
‘The monsoon in June and July has been 95 percent. The rainfall is expected to be 107 percent in the next two months – August and September,’ IMD director general A.K. Tyagi told reporters here.
The monsoon was delayed this year. It was expected to reach Delhi June 29 but was late by about a week.
