Ranchi, Dec 12 (IANS) Seven poll officials were injured, two of them critically, when their vehicle hit a tree in Jharkhand’s Bokaro district Sunday, police said.

Around 15 officials were headed to their assigned polling booths for the third phase of panchayat polls Monday when the driver lost control of vehicle due to brake failure. The accident occurred near Chando village.

The injured polling officials have been admitted in local hospitals.

Bokaro is around 145 km from Ranchi.
