New Delhi, May 31 (IANS) Adding to the blistering heat in the capital, several parts of Delhi faced an over seven-hour-long power cut Thursday.
“Three diode-transistor logic circuits of 22 KV were down since 2 p.m. Large parts of south Delhi were affected due to this,” said an official from distcom BSES.
The power circuits affected were Badarpur Power Thermal Station (BPTS) to Okhla and BPTS to Mehrauli.
Officials said supply was affected in Greater Kailash, Chittaranjan Park, Alaknanda, Saket and Nehru Place, among other areas.
They said restoration work was on.
“There is no power since 2 p.m. We have been relying on back-up supply, but don’t think it will last long,” said Anand Narayan of Gulmohar Park.
