Lucknow, Aug 5 (IANS) Two people, including a girl student, were killed and four students seriously injured when a bus of a private school ran over them in Uttar Pradesh’s Ballia district Thursday, police said.
The bus of R.K. Mittal Public School spun out of control and ran over five students and a 45-year-old man, who were standing on the roadside in the Naseerabad town, some 300 km from here.
‘The girl died and the four injured students are 8-10 years old. All are students of Mahaveer Public School,’ police inspector Tej Bahadur told reporters in Ballia.
‘The injured students are being treated at the district hospital. Their condition is serious.’
The driver of the bus escaped after the accident, police said.
‘Teams have been constituted to nab him. The staff of R.K. Mittal School is also being questioned to nab the driver,’ Bahadur said.
