Superintendent of Police (Special Branch) Atmaram Deshpande told IANS that the terror alert was not Goa specific.

‘It is a general alert for the west coast,’ Deshpande said.

‘We have been informed that there is a possibility of an intrusion from the coast. It can be anywhere on the western coast, where we are located,’ Deshpande said.

‘We have intensified out marine and regular patrolling. Police reserves have been kept on alert,’ he added.
