Srinagar, Oct 31 (IANS) A separatist guerrilla was Sunday killed in Kashmir’s Baramulla district where union Home Minister P. Chidambaram chaired a security meeting earlier in the day.
Police said one guerrilla was killed in Nawpora locality of north Kashmir’s Sopore town of Baramulla district Sunday evening.
‘One militant was killed in Nawpora area of Sopore in exchange of fire between the security forces and militants,’ a senior police officer told IANS.
He also said although firing had stopped in the area, searches were still going on.
The identity of the slain guerrilla was being established, the police officer said.
