New Delhi, July 30 (IANS) Delhiites experienced a muggy Friday with humidity levels touching a high of 95 percent despite intermittent showers in parts of the capital.
The maximum temperature recorded was 32 degrees Celsius, two notches below average and minimum settled at 27.8 degrees Celsius, one notch above normal for this time of the season.
The weather office predicted light to heavy rains Saturday. ‘Skies will remain cloudy with possibility of heavy thundershowers in some parts of the city in next 24 hours,’ an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official said.
According to the Met office, the maximum temperature Saturday is expected to hover around 32 degrees Celsius.
Delhi recorded 13.2 mm of rainfall Friday. It has so far received a total 242.2 mm of rains this monsoon.
