New Delhi, Sep 1 (IANS) Delhi had a hot and sultry Thursday morning and the weather office forecast light showers and thunderstorms later in the evening.
The minimum temperature rose three notches above the average at 28.7 degrees Celsius while the maximum is expected to hover around 36 degrees Celsius, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
‘The skies will remain partly cloudy today,’ an IMD official said.
Humidity stood at 81 percent.
The minimum and maximum temperatures Wednesday were recorded at 27.6 degrees Celsius and 36.1 degrees Celsius respectively.
The national capital has received 392.7 mm of rainfall this monsoon, 26 percent less than the average for the season.
