Raipur, Aug 18 (IANS) A speeding private bus crushed three students of a government polytechnic in Chhattisgarh Wednesday, police said.
The accident took place on national highway 43 in Dhamtari district, about 80 km from capital Raipur, early Wednesday when the bus hit a motorcycle on which the three students were travelling.
The victims who belonged to Raipur, Durg and Korea districts of the state were fifth semester students of a government polytechnic college here.
At the time of the incident, they and were returning to Raipur after attending a birthday party of a friends in a neigbouring town. The bus driver sped off after the incident.
‘A case has been registered and the private vehicle that crushed the students to death has been identified. The vehicle will seized and the driver will be arrested,’ S. Patel, a police official of Arjuni police station in Dhamtari, told IANS over phone.
