Srinagar, Sep 11 (IANS) A quake measuring 4.6 on the Richter scale shook the Kashmir Valley Saturday morning as Muslims prepared to offer Eid-ul-Fitr prayers.
‘The earthquake measuring 4.6 on the Richter scale occurred at 8.40 a.m.,’ an official of the weather office said here.
‘The epicentre of the slight intensity tremor was located 37.7 degrees north and 75.7 degrees east in the Pir Panchal mountain range of Jammu and Kashmir,’ he added.
No casualties or damage to property was reported from anywhere.
