Ranchi, Nov 29 (IANS) Two people were killed Monday when a high tension electricity supply wire fell on them in Jharkhand’s Giridih district, police said.
The wire fell near Barmoria village of Giridih district, around 190 km from here.
Both died on the spot, a police officer said.
Angry local residents blocked roads, demanding action against errant officials, and wanted the government to pay compensation to the families of those killed.
