New Delhi, Dec 7 (Inditop.com) It has been a relatively warm December in the capital so far with the minimum temperature recorded over the past few days remaining well above the average but the mercury level will dip now, the weatherman said Monday.

The minimum temperature recorded Monday morning was 12 degrees Celsius, a good three degrees above the average for this time of the year.

“The minimum temperature has been above normal over the past few days. However, a western disturbance over Jammu and Kashmir will cause the temperatures to drop in the surrounding areas like Delhi in the next few days,” an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official told Inditop.

The minimum temperature Friday was 11 degrees Celsius, one degree above the average, and Saturday too was a degree above normal at 10 degrees. Sunday recorded a minimum of 13 degrees, four degrees above the average.

The maximum temperature Monday is predicted to hover around 26 degrees Celsius.
