Islamabad, May 1 (Inditop.com) Pakistan’s former spy agent, who had been taken hostage along with two others for over a month by a terrorist group, was found dead in North Waziristan, local administration said.

The administration of the area has confirmed the death of Khalid Khawaja, Squadron Leader (retd) of the Inter-Service Intelligence (ISI). He was shot in the chest and head and his dead body has been recovered in Mir Ali (Miran Shah) beside a road with a tag of ‘Asian Tigers’, Online news agency reported.

Khwaja along with a former ISI officer Colonel (retd) Imam and a British journalist Asad Qureshi, went missing from North Waziristan March 26 after they had gone to work on a documentary on the Taliban.

In April, the ‘Asian Tigers’ had aired a videotape of the three hostages and demanded the release of their arrested comrades in exchange.

A note that was found beside the dead body of Khalid Khawaja read that Khalid Khawaja used to spy for America and was responsible for Lal-Masjid incident.
