New Delhi, April 30 (IANS) Expressing hope it would develop as a world class facility on poll management, Chief Election Commissioner of India S.Y. Quraishi Monday laid the foundation stone of new campus of India International Institute of Democracy and Election Management at Dwarka.
“The number of personnel engaged during elections in India has gone up to 11 million and all of them need to be trained for a zero-error election,” said Quraishi.
Since its launch in June 2011, the institute has hosted 32 courses for more than 500 election officials and other stakeholders in all aspects of election management. It has been operating from the EC office here.
