Srinagar, May 14 (IANS) It was a partly cloudy morning in summer capital Srinagar on Thursday.

The local meteorological office said the weather would remain dry in Kashmir during the next four days.
“Weather will improve from today (Thursday) evening, and maximum temperature is likely to hover around 18 degree Celsius.
“We are expecting fair weather in Jammu and Kashmir for four days from tomorrow (Friday) onwards”, local Met office director Sonam Lotus told IANS.
Lotus, however, said there may be light rain with thundershowers at a few places in the state during the next 24 hours.
The minimum temperature on Thursday was 12.8 degrees Celsius which is three degrees above normal.
In Pahalgam the minimum temperature was 8.2 degrees Celsius and in Gulmarg it was 3.5 degrees.
Kargil town in the Ladakh region recorded a minimum temperature of 6.5 degrees Celsius while Leh town in the same region recorded 9.5 degrees Celsius.
Katra town in Jammu region had a minimum temperature of 19.4 degrees Celsius.
The minimum temperature in Jammu city was 21.4 degrees Celsius on Thursday.
