New Delhi, Dec 20 (Inditop.com) The newly-appointed president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Nitin Gadkari Sunday called on senior party leader L.K. Advani at his official residence here.
Gadkari Saturday called on former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee after being elected the party chief.
Gadkari left for Nagpur Sunday.
Gadkari said that the two leaders had been “a source of inspiration” for him.
The BJP president-elect said he was new to the capital but felt confident of performing his responsibilities after getting the blessings of senior leaders.
At 52, Gadkari is the youngest president of the BJP. With his appointment the BJP has completed the process of top-level generational change that had the backing of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, the party’s ideological fountainhead.
