New Delhi, July 6 (IANS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Digital India’ initiative is an historic opportunity to make up for the industrial revolution that the country missed, union Minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Giriraj Singh has said.

Describing the initiative as a game changer, Giriraj Singh said: “Digital India is poised to give lakhs of jobs to the youth. The corporates are making a beeline to pour money into the initiative. It has exponential possibilities and will help India realise its full potential.”
Launching an English monthly news magazine, ‘Leaders Speak’, dedicated to Digital India, here on Sunday, the minister highlighted the virtues of digitization as envisaged by Narendra Modi, whom he praised for ushering India into the digital era.
“The magazine couldn’t have come at a better time. Digital India is a global idea whose time has truly arrived. Here is your magazine about the same issues as the prime minister said, including cyber security, cyber crimes etc.”, Giriraj Singh said.
Exhorting youths to turn digital on the occasion, national spokesperson of the BJP and former minister Shahnawaz Hussain extolled the virtues of the ‘Digital India’ initiative as “blessed with the best IT software personnel in the world, India has everything it takes to become a global giant in this field”.
