Chandigarh, Sep 19 (Inditop.com) Haryana Governor Jagannath Pahadia was hospitalised after he complained of chest pain while attending a religious function here Saturday.
Pahadia was attending a religious ceremony of Brahmakumari sect at Manimajra town, when he suddenly complained of discomfort and acute chest pain, following which he was taken to the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) here in Sector 12.
After a preliminary examination, doctors admitted him in the PGIMER.
PGIMER spokesperson Manju Wadwalkar told Inditop that Pahadia’s condition was stable and a special team of doctors is looking after him. Doctors have admitted him to keep a close tab on his recovery and to do some medical tests on him, she added.
Pahadia, 77, was sworn in as the 15th governor of Haryana July 27, succeeding A.R. Kidwai who had completed his five-year term.
Pahadia was the chief minister of Rajasthan from June 1980 to July 1981. He also served as a minister of state of finance in the central government.
