Ranchi/New Delhi, May 31 (IANS) Jharkhand could be headed for a short spell of president’s rule as the three major political parties informed Governor M.O.H. Farook that at present they do not have the numbers to form an alternative government.
The governor is preparing a report on Jharkhand, which is likely to be sent by late Monday night to the union home ministry.
According to sources, the governor could recommend president’s rule in the state as no party has shown interest in forming an alternative government, a day after Shibu Soren resigned as chief minister.
