Bengaluru, June 24 (IANS) Heavy rainfall continued to lash Karnataka as southwest monsoon is active over the state, the Met Office said on Wednesday.
Maland region and Ghat section received heavy rainfall and torrential rain also lashed Madikeri in Kodagu district and Agumbe in Chikamaglur district, the weather department officials said.
Besides, rain and thundershowers would occur at most places in coastal Karnataka, south Karnataka and at isolated places in north Karnataka, officials from the meteorological department said.
It also raised the warning to fishermen to refrain from venturing deeper into the sea.
For Bengaluru city, the weather office has forecast a cloudy sky with a spell or two of rain and light showers.
The maximum temperature in the city is likely to be around 29 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature is expected to be 21 degrees Celsius, officials said.
Bengaluru received a rainfall of 4.7 mm on Tuesday.
On Tuesday, the city recorded the maximum temperature of 28.2 degrees Celsius while the minimum was 21 degrees Celsius.
