Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 25 (IANS) Mohan Abraham, an official of the Kerala education department, was asked to go on leave Saturday for allegedly performing pooja at his office.

Abraham is the director of Continuing Education, which runs the Kerala State Civil Service Academy.

State Education Minister M.A. Baby made a surprise visit at Abraham’s office Thursday night following media reports that a worship was being conducted at the academy office.

Abraham is already under cloud as Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan wanted to suspend him for his conduct when he was the director of the vocational higher secondary department. The vigilance department is still probing that case.
