New Delhi, Feb 10 (IANS) Kiran Bedi, the BJP’s chief ministerial candidate for the Delhi assembly elections, Tuesday lost by 2,277 votes to the Aam Aadmi Party’s S.K. Bagga from the party’s stronghold of Krishna Nagar in east Delhi.

Bedi was brought into the party a few weeks ahead of the Feb 7 poll.
Speaking to media after the result was announced, Bedi congratulated AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal on his party’s massive win in the polls.
She said Kejriwal must provide what they promised to the people of Delhi.
“There is a lot to be done and they have to deliver fast,” she said.
She spoke about encroachments in the national capital and hoped that the new government would take steps in this regard.
Bedi said she was still very much a part of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
