ew Delhi, May 5 (Inditop) Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi was living in a “dream world” if he believed the Left would support Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in a post poll scenario, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) said Tuesday.
“Let him (Rahul Gandhi) live in his own dream world. They (Congress party) are barking up a wrong tree,” senior BJP leader Yashwant Sinha said.
He was responding to Rahul Gandhi’s remark at a press conference here that the “field is open” for post-poll alliances and that he was “confident that the Left will support Manmohan Singh”.
BJP spokesperson Sidharth Nath Singh added that Rahul Gandhi’s statement on the Left was indicative of the United Progressive Alliance’s (UPA) realisation that it would lose in the Lok Sabha polls.
“His statement shows they are losing. That is why they need the support of the Left.”
