Patna, May 26 (INS) Union minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Tuesday said the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led central government has succeeded in removing the deep-rooted ‘loot lobby’ and ‘champions of corruption’ from the corridors of power in Delhi.

Addressing BJP workers in Kishanganj and Purnea district, union Minister of State for Parliamentary and Minority Affairs Naqvi said: “During the last one year, the Modi government’s steps to close down the shops of middlemen and power brokers has depressed the ‘loot lobby’.
“Such people have formed an unholy nexus against the transparent and performing Modi government and they are trying to derail the development agenda,” he said, while asking the BJP workers to launch ‘Kalyan Parv’ (welfare day) to mark completion of one-year of Modi government.
He said such people would not succeed in their efforts and the people of the country would not forgive such elements and give them a befitting reply.
Naqvi said the BJP-led government had completed its one year on May 26 and “this one year was full of success” where the Centre, under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi took initiatives to fulfil all the promises “we made to the people”.
“The Modi government is a government of the poor, downtrodden and common man,” he said.
Naqvi said that while the Congress gave a government which was neck-deep in corruption and was not bothered about the common man, Modi gave an effective, transparent, hard working government, committed to empowerment of the poor.
He said welfare schemes, launched by the central government, ensured socio-economic security to the poor people.
It was unfortunate that the people, who derailed the country’s economy and degraded nation’s prestige at the world-level, had now formed a group against Modi government under various names, the minister said.
“Such people, who supported the Congress, are trying to form so-called ‘Janta Parivar’ in Bihar to obstruct the development process started by the NDA. These people have no ‘janta’ and they have only ‘parivar’.
“They are fighting a battle of their existence. They are not concerned for the people, they are trying to save their families,” he added.
Naqvi said the BJP-JD(U) alliance had given freedom to Bihar from ‘jungle raj’ of more than 15 years. But Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar betrayed the mandate of crores of people of the state.
“Bihar was left behind on development path after Nitish Kumar broke the alliance. Now he is trying to form an alliance with Lalu Prasad who is responsible for the state’s backwardness,” the minister said.
“But the people have understood this, they will not support any such alliance. They will give a complete majority to the BJP in the next Bihar assembly polls later this year,” Naqvi added.
