New Delhi, Oct 3 (IANS) Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad Monday said more consultations were required before a decision could be taken on creating a separate state of Telangana.

Azad, who is the Congress in-charge for Andhra Pradesh, said the impasse should end soon.

‘The positive thing is that the impasse has to end, it should not continue any more.’

‘Before taking the final decision and coming to conclusion, we need to consult few more leaders. Not only at the state level, but also at the national level,’ Azad said.

He emphasised that the consultation process is ‘very important’ and it can’t be escaped.

Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) chief K. Chandrasekhara Rao is also in the national capital holding a series of meeting with the top government leaders.
