Mumbai, June 2 (IANS) For people with hearing loss wishing to connect, interact and engage with others on equal footing like anyone else, a new device launched on Tuesday promises some sound relief.
Developed by Denmark-based GN ReSound, the ReSound LiNX2 hearing aid enables users experience direct stereo sound streaming from iPhone, iPad and iPod touch without requiring an additional pendant-like device.
“ReSound LiNX2 is the latest step in our efforts to make hearing as natural and effortless as possible,” said Sunil Vinzanekar, India managing director GN ReSound, a leading international developer and manufacturer of advanced and innovative hearing healthcare solutions.
The new spatial sense technology gives users a vivid sense of space and speech in top-rated sound quality, the company said.
Available in three variants, ReSound LiNX2 range of products apply the latest and most advanced version of surround sound technology, a unique system for processing sound using advanced technologies that emulate the human ear, producing sound that is true-to-life, it added.
Users also have the option to personalise their hearing experience directly through the ReSound Smart App.
GN ReSound products have been available in India since 1995 and they are sold through a robust network of 250 dispensers across the country.
“We revolutionised hearing aid technology in 2014 with the introduction of ReSound LiNX, a game changing Smart Hearing device that offered incredible sound quality, connectivity and control,” Vinzanekar said.
“ReSound LiNX2 builds on that unmatched capability, bringing even more empowerment to users,” Vinzanekar added.
