New Delhi, April 30 (Inditop) Polling for the third round of the staggered Lok Sabha elections, held in 107 constituencies spred acrosss nine states and two union territories concluded peacefully at 5 p.m. Thursday.

Over 144 million voters were eligible to exercise their franchise at 165,000 polling stations.

Congress president Sonia Gandhi and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) prime ministerial candidate L.K. Advani were among the 1,567 candidates whose fate was decided in the third phase.

With this, balloting has concluded for 372 Lok Sabha seats. Two more rounds are left to be conducted – May 7 and 13. Votes will be counted May 16.
