Thiruvananthapuram, July 4 (IANS) UPA presidential candidate Pranab Mukherjee will arrive here Wednesday as part of his poll campaign and meet Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and other leaders.
Mukherjee will meet leaders and legislators of all the parties in the state barring the Communist Party of India and Revolutionary Socialist Party, both of whom have decided to abstain from voting in the poll.
Chief whip in the Kerala Assembly P.C.George told IANS that Mukherjee will arrive Wednesday morning and leave the same day.
“Since the assembly is in session, a time schedule has been given to each party and their legislators to meet Mukherjee. The Left opposition in the assembly will meet him around noon. The MPs from the state also will be meeting him,” said George.
