New Delhi, May 7 (IANS) Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi on Thursday raised in the Lok Sabha the scrapping of a proposed food park in his Amethi constituency.
“During campaigning for elections, the prime minister had come to Amethi and had given a 52-minute speech during which he had said that he was not a practitioner of politics of revenge but one of change,” Gandhi said during zero hour.
“In this country, promises are important for politicians and specially those made by the prime minister,” Gandhi said adding the prime minister should remember his promise now that the food park project was being cancelled.
“The food park project has been cancelled. The food park would make a huge difference to the life of Amethi farmers…Please don’t cancel it,” the Congress leader said.
