Ranchi, Jan 13 (Inditop.com) Jharkhand Chief Minister Shibu Soren will not move to his official chief minister’s residence as it seems he is haunted by the vastu of the house.
Soren has been staying in a government bungalow situated near Ranchi’s Morabadi ground. Renovation and construction work is going on at his Morabadi residence.
“This is also the chief minister’s house and that is also the chief minister’s house. What is the big deal about shifting from one house to another?” Soren told reporters when asked why he was not shifting to his new residence.
When asked about the vastu (ancient Indian architectural norms) problem, he said: “I do not believe in such things”.
According to astrologers, the official chief minister’s residence situated at Kanke road is not fit from a vastu point of view. Previous records indicate that no chief minister, who lived there, completed his term. All the previous chief ministers were forced to quit their post in disgrace.
First, former chief minister Babulal Marandi was forced to quit in March 2003 after alliance partners revolted against him. Then Arjun Munda was also forced to quit after independent legislators revolted against him in September 2006. Madhu Koda, the third chief minister of Jharkhand, was forced to quit in August 2008. Soren, who had also shifted to the chief minister’s house was also forced to quit in January last year after he lost the Tamar assembly poll.
