Ranchi, April 26 (Inditop.com) Jharkhand Chief Minister Shibu Soren Monday attended the Lok Sabha session in New Delhi, raising questions in his home state whether he will contst the assembly polls before June 30.

Soren became Jharkhand chief minister for the third time Dec 30 last year and he has to become a member of the state assembly before June 30 to fulfil his constitutional obligation.

At present Soren is a Lok Sabha member from Dumka. He has yet to decide the constituency from which he will fight the assembly poll.

“Today (Monday) Guruji (Shibu Soren) went to New Delhi to attend the Lok Sabha session,” Safiq Ansari, press advisor of Soren, told IANS.

Soren had not attended the Lok Sabha after becoming the chief minister for the third time.

His move to attend the Lok Sabha session has set off speculation on whether he would contest the assembly polls.

“Shibu Soren has made a mockery of the constitution. Soren should either resign as the chief minister or from the Lok sabha,” Shailesh Sinha, Jharkhand Congress general secretary, told IANS.
