Shimla, Jan 8 (IANS) The hills of Himachal Pradesh Thursday were bathed in sunshine but saw a cold day, and dry weather will prevail over the state till this weekend, the weatherman said.
“It was a bright sunny day almost across the state and such conditions would continue till Jan 11,” an official of the India Meteorological Department here told IANS.
He said the higher reaches were freezing. Keylong, headquarters of Lahaul and Spiti, was the coldest at a minimum temperature of 9.3 degrees Celsius below the freezing point.
Kalpa in Kinnaur district saw a low of minus 1 degree, while the temperature was minus 1.2 degrees in Manali, and 3.6 degrees at Shimla.
The minimum temperatures in Dharamsala and Dalhousie in lower hills were 3.8 degrees and 0.6 degree, respectively.
