New Delhi, May 11 (IANS) Following a drizzle early morning, the sky in the national capital remained clear through the day on Monday and the maximum temperature settled a notch above the season’s average at 39.8 degrees Celsius. Similar weather is likely on Tuesday, the Met office said.
“The sky will remain partly cloudy and light rain is expected in some parts of the city,” said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 39 and 28 degrees Celsius.
Monday’s minimum temperature settled at 28.2 degrees Celsius, three notches above the season’s average.
The day’s maximum humidity was recorded at 45 percent.
Sunday’s maximum temperature soared up to 42.3 degree Celsius, three notches above the season’s average, while the minimum temperature was 26.2 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season’s average.
