New Delhi, April 20 (IANS) It was a sunny Monday here with the maximum temperature settling two notches above the season’s average at 39.6 degrees Celsius.
“There will be mainly clear sky on Tuesday and the day will be hot,” said an official of the India Meteorological Department.
The maximum and minimum temperatures on Tuesday are likely to hover between 39 and 24 degrees Celsius.
Monday’s minimum temperature settled at five notches above the season’s average at 26 degrees Celsius.
The day’s maximum humidity was recorded at 64 percent.
The national capital witnessed the hottest day of the season so far on Sunday as the mercury crossed the 40-degree mark for the first time this year, settling four notches above the season’s average. The minimum temperature settled at 21.6 degrees Celsius.
