Hyderabad, June 17 (IANS) In a new twist in the cash-for-vote case, Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Telangana on Tuesday issued notices to Telugu Desam Party (TDP) legislator Sandra Venkata Veeraiah and another party leader V. Narender Reddy.

In a late night development, the ACB officers served notices on the two TDP leaders, asking them to appear before the agency for the interrogation.
While Veeraiah is a member of Telangana assembly from Sathupalli in Khammam district, Narender Reddy was TDP-BJP candidate in elections to state legislative council.
The notices were issued after day-long hectic developments amid speculations that ACB may issue notice to TDP president and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.
TDP MLA A. Revanth Reddy was arrested by the ACB on May 31 while he was offering Rs.50 lakh to nominated MLA Elvis Stephenson to make him vote for Narender Reddy.
In a trap laid on Stephenson’s complaint, the ACB also arrested Revanth Reddy’s aides Sebastian Harry and Uday Simha.
Veeraiah allegedly spoke to Sebastian over phone and the ACB has called him for questioning in this regard.
An audio tape of Chandrababu Naidu’s alleged telephonic conversation with Stephenson surfaced on June 7. Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) government has alleged Naidu is the mastermind of the scam.
ACB Director General A. K. Khan met Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao twice on Tuesday.
