Ghaziabad, Jan 25 (IANS) A criminal involved in a robbery here and one in Delhi was arrested here early on Monday, police said.
Ankit, a resident of Tulsi Niketan, admitted to police that he was involved in a Rs.1.8 crore robbery on June 2, 2015 outside the Oriental Bank of Commerce here.
He was also linked to a crime in Delhi four days later for which Delhi Police announced a Rs.25,000 reward for information leading to his arrest.
A police officer said Ankit was arrested after a gun battle with two men in a car. The other occupant sped away in the car.
The incident took place near the Dehra Doon Public School in Govindpuram area, police inspector Ashok Shishodia said.
