Huawei, the company which was able to make it in the Indian market with some good phones loaded with hardware and feature and on a budget has recently announced that they will be launching a new mid-range device, the Huawei  Enjoy 5S. The phone has already been added by the company on their website and patrons can check the details of the phone there but the sales of the phone are starting today in China. We are hoping that this phone does make it to the Indian shores sooner since the cost of the phone is a killer one and to die for really for the specs it is offering. So let’s check out what the phone is made of and how it is on the inside.

The Enjoy 5S is a pretty well made phone built with a lot of features in it. It has a 5 inch 1280 x 720 HD display which is pretty good for the cost it is available. Just the small thing like unlike the original Enjoy 5, the 5S comes with an IPS LCD display instead of an AMOLED one. This would not really affect the display of the phone much and the battery will also last more, but for the trained eye, the colour reproduction will be a bit less accurate on this device.

In terms of the hardware inside the phone, it gets a MediaTek MT 6753T SoC that has an Octa Core processor on it clocking 1.5 GHz. There is GPU support as well to give some more leeway to the processor to handle graphics intensive media, but we are skeptic about the phone heating up due to all the heavy hardware inside.

Memory wise the phone is pretty well loaded with 16GB of storage provided out of the box while one can always expand it to up to 128GB using MicroSD cards. On top of that with Android phones, there is always cloud storage available which you can use on the go which is always an additional benefit in terms of memory available for use. Also the device gets 2GB of RAM which is pretty apt for a phone of this budget, though more is always better.

As for the camera, the Enjoy 5S comes with a 13 MP shooter on the back and a 5 MP unit on the front. The rear camera comes with a BSI CMOS sensor and can record videos in Full HD. Huawei have even gone further to add capabilities to the camera like Audio-Photo, Time Lapse and HDR functions to the camera to make it stand out from the competition. The Front camera is wonderful for selfies so it a good phone to have when hanging out with friends.

As for the rest, the phone comes with a 2200 mAh battery which seems a bit small for today but should last a good 14 hours of mixed usage in a day. Though if you happen to be on 4G network, do not expect it to last for over 5 hours which is a bit of a downer. It is running Android 5.1 Lollipop and has the Huawei EMUI overlay on top.

The phone also gets a fingerprint sensor which is present in only some of the top end phones of today and now for the first time is being made available in a mid-range phone. It is a dual SIM phone, but the second SIM slot is a hybrid one for a memory card or a SIM card.

Huawei has not made a statement as to when the phone might come out for the international markets including India, but we are expecting to arrive soon after the CES 2016 where all the phone manufacturers display their proud exhibits for all and launch new phone there in front of the global audience.

One thing that makes this phone a winner is the price. It is priced at CNY 1,199/- which comes out to approximately 12,000/- INR. So when the phone does make it to the Indian shores, expect there to be more flash sales for this phone.
