Rome, Oct 13 (DPA) English veteran star David Beckham is likely to rejoin AC Milan from L.A. Galaxy when the winter transfer market opens in January.
Italian media Tuesday quoted AC Milan vice president Adriano Galliani as saying that “there are many chances that Beckham arrive at Milan on loan until June 30. But I say that nothing is certain until there is a signature.”
Beckham,34, played 18 games and scored two goals with Milan from January to June in the past season. He joined the Devils to keep fit during the break of the US season and was due back in Los Angeles in March, but obtained to complete the season in Italy.
As the English international never denied his interest in rejoining Milan, Roma captain Francesco Totti may have changed his mind about the national team, which he abandoned a year after winning the 2006 World Cup.
“If (coach Marcello) Lippi wants and if I’m fine I’m back with the Azzurri,” La Gazzetta dello Sport Tuesday quoted him as saying.
Totti, 33, suffered a fractured ankle in February 2006, but managed to recover for the World Cup. He has since played with a metal plate in his left ankle and has often suffered from severe back pain.
