Kolkata, Oct 29 (IANS) Indian cricket team captain M.S. Dhoni and his teammates were feted by the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) on the occasion of the first ever Twenty20 international played at the Eden Gardens Saturday.

CAB president Jagmohan Dalmia presented a silver plaque to Dhoni while his teammates were given medallions to celebrate the maiden Twenty20 international at the hallowed ground.

The felicitation was done in a brief ceremony before the start of the game between India and England.

CAB had earlier planned a dinner for the Indian team Friday night when the felicitation was to take place. But it was forced to cancel the programme due to International Cricket Council’s restrictive clause barring players from attending an official dinner on a match eve.
