London, July 21 (DPA) Chelsea are sweating on the fitness of Michael Ballack after the Germany midfielder was forced to return home from the club’s tour to the United States.
The 32-year-old suffered a toe injury in training and is now doubtful for Chelsea’s Community Shield clash with Manchester United August 15.
“Ballack yesterday took a knock on the toe,” new Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti said.
