Brisbane, Jan 19 (IANS) Pakistan’s star cricketers Tuesday kept mum after none of them were picked up at the Indian Premier League (IPL) auction at Mumbai.
Shahid Afridi, Pakistan’s Twenty20 captain, refrained from making any comment on the IPL snub. Several other players, who were part of the World Twenty20 champion side and were listed for the auction, also refused to say anything on the issue.
One of the players when contacted said he would speak on the issue after talking to his agent in India.
Pakistani players were busy travelling Tuesday from Hobart to Brisbane where they will begin their One-day series against Australia from Jan 22.
Eleven Pakistan players, including Afridi, Sohail Tanvir, Umar Gul and the Akmal brothers (Kamran and Umar), were lined up for auction for the third edition of IPL.
