The Australian team also finished at the top of the One-day rankings.

As many as five frontline Australian players were sent back home due to injuries. At one point the visitors were even struggling to put 11 fit players on the field. But the fighting spirit of Australia and their bench strength came through.

India lost the the first ODI at Vadodada but came back strongly with back-to-back wins in Nagpur and Delhi.
